Valerie Ward

I've been performing improv for over 15 years and teaching and coaching for over 11 years. With my award-winning troupe Parallelogramophonograph, I've taught workshops in over 30 cities across 3 continents. I am a member of the faculty of the Hideout Theatre and teach all adult levels as well as assist with special needs youth classes. I have directed and produced mainstage shows for both students and advanced performers.

My specialties as a coach include longform narrative improv, individual diagnostics, patient and connected scenework, building rich worlds, finding fun and mischief, and helping you hone formats such as The Deconstruction or The Living Room as well as adapting or creating formats to suit your group. I am available for one-off coaching sessions/workshops as well as short-term coaching relationships.
